Cancellation of Appointments
Appointments at Relate Psychology are in high demand. When we make an appointment for you, that appointment is a definite booking and we have put time aside for you personally. If you cancel your appointment without adequate notice, we are unable to offer it to someone else in need.
Therefore, Relate Psychology has a strict cancellation policy and requires at least 24 hours notice in order to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. All changes made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Please note that there are no Medicare, or Private Health Insurance Rebates for Cancellation Fees.
Some private health insurance policies provide cover and rebates for psychological services. You need to contact your private health insurer to determine if you are eligible to receive a rebate and the exact amount you would receive, as this varies between insurance companies.
For those clients who have been referred by their Medical Practitioner under a Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare rebates are available. Full fees are payable on the day of service. Please make sure you bring your referral letter and Mental Heath Care Plan from GP. You will not be ale to claim for your session without these. Claims can be made at any Medicare Office. At present, the rebate from Medicare is set at approximately $84.80 for a one-hour session.
Relate Psychology does not bulk bill. There will be a gap between the Medicare Rebate and the amount charged. For details about fees and out of pocket expenses please contact Relate Psychology.
For details about fees relating to Couples Counselling, please contact Relate Psychology.
